Christmas used to mean

Bright red and forest green

Fresh apple pie to eat and hands to hold

But this years not the same

Since you're not in the frame

My winter holidays are extra cold

And carols that I loved

Are sounding minor now because

You're not right here to sing along

And this year that's all I want

I used to love this season

But now I'm only freezing

'Cause without you it's always storming

Though I don't feel like smiling

Just know that I'm still trying

I'll hold your flannel tight

Bake cookies that you liked

And wish with all my might to go right back

To winter in the Poconos

All bundled in our coats

Standing barefoot in the snow until we cracked

Now the movies that'd we'd see

Aren't funny like they used be
