Northern Waterthrush - Dan Gibson's Solitudes
I love picking out this sound in the wild
There's something different about each one
To sleeping listen that one down by the lakeshore
It's song is so quick and energetic
That's the Northern Waterthrush
And it's another member of the world blow family
It's really fun to watch when it's on the ground
Because it doesn't hop along like most birds
It actually walks
Some people say that the Waterthrush
It curious habit off walking back and forth
Along the water's edge
Makes it look like a mechanical toy
But doesn't it have a lovely song
