Ellen Oakes Kerr is a folk/rock-oriented female singer-songwriter with an amazingly strong, moving voice and talented guitar playing to back it. Writing music and performing since age 14, Ellen has released three full-length cd's and a single, "Looking Up to You," following the terrorist attacks of 9-11. Along with her solo performances -- which are favored among her fans -- Ellen has been in and out of bands, most notable playing lead guitar at age 16 for the all-female rock band "Rozy Black," where she opened up for notable bands, such as Foghat and Talon, among others.
Now performing festivals, universities, and coffee shops, among other events, Ellen is focused solely on her original writings, which delve into finger-picked narrations of the soul, the world, and beyond, to hard-strumming, rockin' melodies of love and longing -- all of which prove to relate to every listener, keeping their attention long after her performance is finished.
